O SPACE Architecture & Interior Design :: Casa Bella

Casa Bella

Light, flame, spirit. Symbol of life and regeneration, the fire is concentrated in the heart of Casa Bella and permeates the entire room. The interiors of this rehabilitated house in Porto are inspired by the Scandinavian lifestyle, based on the simplicity and tranquillity of everyday life, with spaces designed to provide moments of comfort and well-being. Good energy reigns in this house: friends gather around the table and enjoy relaxing and harmonious spaces.

Interior design for housing rehabilitation - Works

Casa Bella was born from the total rehabilitation of an old house in the centre of Porto, designed to incorporate welcoming, balanced and inviting spaces. The ex-libris of this house is the central stove, which runs through the entire house and allows the imaginary division of space, providing a sense of harmony and tranquillity to the lower floor.

It was decided to keep some structural elements of the house, such as the interior window, skylight and the round passage for the closet, keeping them in stucco, as well as the interior walls. Being an old house, it was necessary to restore all the wood, including the floor and stairs. In terms of painting, it was decided to combine the white with the brown of the natural wood, painting only the handrail uprights with a white glaze.
