Zonavet Veterinary Centre
It has spent a lifetime since the Zonavet Veterinary Centre opened its doors in 2004. After 17 years of taking care of animal health and welfare, this Medical-Veterinary Care Centre (CAMV) in Mozelos, Santa Maria da Feira, felt the need to redesign its space and make it more functional, for a more personalized and proactive service. Careful planning and projection of the different areas of this veterinary clinic was essential to obtain an optimized solution, appropriate to the context, and strategically designed to ensure not only comfort and excellence in service provision but also employee productivity.
Interior design and works
The reformulation of this CAMV presupposed not only the optimization of existing areas but also the creation of new service spaces, in accordance with the clinic's needs. The entire space was reorganized and a new veterinary office was designed, exclusively for cats, to create a differentiation in the service provided to users.
In the recovery area, cages were designed in concrete block, coated with a polyurethane resin, with hollow glass fronts to allow air circulation and user comfort. In the pharmacy, mostly open storage furniture was used, so that employees could quickly view the products in stock.
We chose to use baby blue in the main elements of the clinic, such as the walls, panelling and signage, to contrast with the white and light wood applied to the space and furniture, making the whole environment peaceful and cosy. In the operating and X-ray rooms, dark grey PVC panelling and baseboards in cove were chosen in all rooms and corridors, to reduce the accumulation of waste and bacteria harmful to the animals.
